Allow me to briefly explain the content of my latest book. Feel free to comment. The title is: Masochist nationalism - Multicultural self-hatred and the enchantment with the exotic.
It revolves around "Notes on Nationalism" - an essay by George Orwell. It has one big idea: Nationalism has a twin. This twin is composed by those who see themselves as anti-nationalists, anti-racists etc. Why? Because these people cherish other nations and cultures with the same intensity as classic nationalists cherish our nation, and our history.
This is my idea. The book is proceeding well, and I expect to have some kind of draft later on this year.
For those who care to have a look at the coming book, make yourself known, and I will mail the introduction. It relates somehow to Pascal Bruckners idea about a masochist West, but I focus a masochist nationalism instead.
